Documentaries as a tool for communicating topics in science:

Documentaries are films or videos examining an event or person based on facts. They are multidisciplinary mediums that are used in academia as an instrument of communication. Documentaries are often able to grab people’s attention in emotionally resonant ways. In science, documentaries can be used to present results of findings and/or present scientific topics in audio-visual form. Documentaries focused on science can be appealing to audiences of all ages, especially children, because they provide visual representations of topics.

Documentary Series: BBC Earth Kids
BBC Earth Kids is a documentary television channel that features premium factual programming. This channel was founded in 2015 by BBC Studios. This program combines fun facts, astounding creatures, and loads of fun facts about our planet. This program also includes some of the best moments from the BBC’s natural history program. These videos feature topics including dinosaurs, elephants, tigers, pandas, and more.
