Welcome!
My name is Emma Savaso! I am a fourth year student at Cal Poly studying child development and psychology. The goal of this website is to share my passion and knowledge for working with youth. My experiences working with children include working as a distance learning teacher, providing nanny/childcare services, volunteering at the Cal Poly Preschool Learning Lab, and coaching youth water polo. Additionally, I just landed an intern position in a kindergarten classroom at Bishop’s Peak Elementary School.
My passion for working for children has grown stronger through each of these experiences and has inspired me to dedicate my career toward teaching at the elementary school level. I am currently applying to Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Programs and hope to stay at Cal Poly next year to earn my teaching credential. I look forward to working with students from all different backgrounds in my future.
This website was created by me as an assignment for an upper-division child development class at Cal Poly. Through this course, I have gained skills using several technological tools including Adobe Photoshop, Wix, and GarageBand. In addition, I have learned how to create my own podcasts, blogs, and websites surrounding the topics that I am passionate about. Through this course, I also held discussions with professionals in the field of child development via social media, analyzed existing science communicated trends, and shared my knowledge that I have gained studying child development over the past four years. Thank you for visiting my website - I hope you enjoy exploring each page!
